Sangre de Cristo
Beneath the jagged peaks of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the cattle graze quietly, moving through the tall grass as if the mountains themselves are watching over them. Their coats catch the light of the late afternoon sun, warm against the cool shadow of the range.
The Sangre de Cristo, the “Blood of Christ,” rise sharply from the earth, their red-tinged cliffs telling stories of fire and stone, of storms that have shaped them over millennia. Here, nature balances power and calm—towering mountains above, patient cattle below, both part of the same enduring rhythm.
In this place, the land feels alive, and every creature knows its part in the story the mountains have held for centuries.
